I’ve been reading the names of the new cast members for New Moon but not all of them have stood out to me. I just can’t place the names with faces or what they have been in before. Stephenie Meyer Says Twilight Lawsuit a Hoax

We’ve been reading on many blogs and in many media outlets about how the New Moon filming has been halted because of a lawsuit filed against Stephenie Meyer. The lawsuit supposedly involved a college friend of Meyer who wrote a short story that Meyer “stole” and turned into Twilight.

Meyer has published an official statement on her website that there is no such lawsuit. Further, many of the facts of the story have been proven to be false. The roommate named “Heidi” never existed and the professor allegedly quoted does not exist.

It’s amazing how fast inaccurate stories can spread on the Internet. What’s even more amazing in this case were the number of legitimate news sources repeating a story that had no basis in truth. No worries, Twilight fans. The filming of New Moon continues!
