Those lucky enough to attend Comic-Con 2009 were treated to two new clips of the upcoming movie Twilight Saga New Moon. From the footage we saw from TFAW.com’s blog, people were lined up for blocks and blocks to get in. We were able to locate the two clips on YouTube, but there is no telling how long they will be available. It’s quite possible that Summit Entertainment will have them taken down. On the other hand, we may see them pop up officially soon. In either case, we will keep our eyes out for better quality clips.
The first scene is Jacob and Bella when Bella starts to ride the motorbike and is injured. A hunky Jacob takes care of her. We also get a glipse of how Edward is going to appear in Bella’s imagination.
The second scene is Bella rushing through the crowd in Italy trying to prevent Edward from revealing himself.
Does it make you want to see Twilight Saga New Moon more or less??
According to the new official New Moon movie website, a New Moon store has been launched on Amazon.com. Although the site does not yet have any merchandise that we have not yet seen, the fact that the store is linked to from the new site with the tag “Official Store” indicates that we should be seeing a lot of licensed Twilight and New Moon gear popping up there.
The page is broken down into “Featured Twilight Products,” “Amazon Exclusives,” “Bestsellers,” “Top Sellers,” and an index. You can also watch the New Moon preview directly on the site.
Some of the “Featured Twilight Products” include DVDs, music, jewelry, clothing, bedroom items, bags, collectibles, accessories, and books. Most of it still seems to be focused on Twilight, but be sure to check back because New Moon items are on their way!
News sources are reporting that Coldplay may end up with at least one song in the New Moon movie. This clip below from a local Fox station talks a little about Robert Pattinson wanting to play Jeff Buckley and a Coldplay song appearing in New Moon (along with other miscellaneous entertainment news about Harry Potter and more).
Here’s the exact quote about New Moon from the Coldplay official site:
“It’s very likely that a Coldplay song will end up on the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel given that Stephenie Meyer has credited Coldplay, amongst others, on the inner sleeve for ‘being instrumental in staving off the writer’s block’.”
Entertainment Tonight has released some extended behind the scenes New Moon footage. Part of the five minute clip is actually footage from Twilight. Part of it is also from the MTV Movie Awards (Stewart suggested the “almost kiss” on stage). But there are a few new pieces, such as some interview time with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. You get a couple of glimpses of New Moon filming as well.
The report supposedly reveals “New Moon” secrets, but I don’t think that it is anything that we haven’t heard already. The movie is a little dark, we see more of Edward than in the book, etc.
