While Twilight stands with multiple MTV Movie Award nominations, it was still panned by many. The second movie in the Twilight series, New Moon, is now being hurriedly filmed, with production set for the third in the series shortly after fiming concludes on New Moon.

Twilight got lucky last year when its release was moved up due to a delay in the release date of the next Harry Potter movie. New Moon is currently set to release around the same timeframe. Will you be at the Twilight Saga New Moon release on November 20? Do you plan on seeing it while it is in the theatres or waiting until the DVD comes out? Or do you not even care to see it at all?

I’ve been seeing rumors all over the Internet that Justin Guarini (of American Idol fame) has recorded a song that he is trying to get included on the Twilight Saga New Moon soundtrack. I can’t confirm for sure that it is from him, but http://www.justinguarini.com/ is supposedly his official website and does have the Youtube video featured on its front page. It also has this note with it: “Here’s a song that Tammy Hyler, Shaye Smith, and I wrote specifically for “New Moon”. I’ve set it to some stills, and slapped my vocals on it. If you like it, make sure to spread the word and ask Stephenie Meyer to put it on the soundtrack – JG.” The song is also featured on the Justin Guarini MySpace page with a little over 300 plays so far.

The song certainly sounds like it could be written for New Moon. The opening talks about “scent” and “blood.” Obviously the premise of “I can’t live without you” is central to New Moon (for a couple of characters). I’m not a Justin fan, but I think I might actually like this song, especially in the context of New Moon.

What do you think? Does it belong on the New Moon soundtrack? Is this really a way to get your music included on the soundtrack of a major motion picture? They have some of the best videos and the most credible Twilight rumors. In the video below, they reveal four different New Moon secrets (although I don’t really think that they are all “secrets”). Most interesting to me is that talk about how Edward will appear as some type of apparition to Bella through the first half of the book rather than just a voice in her head. I like that because I could totally see that while I was reading the book. In fact, I often got the feeling that he was still physically “looking over her.”

Do you think it is true to the book or too much of a stretch just for the sake of Robert Pattinson getting more screen time in the movie?

Entertainment Tonight has posted some Twilight Saga New Moon video. One thing it mentions is that the movie will have more of Edward than those of us who have read the book expect. That makes sense considering Edward doesn’t actually appear through a lot of New Moon, yet Robert Pattinson is considered the “leading man” in the movie. (Although I think Team Jacob would disagree!)

The clip below has short snippets of interviews with Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart. It also has some brief glimpses of the filming of New Moon and parts of scenes. It definitely looks like they are heavily into the filming despite only having started recently. Of course, they don’t have long to get it done.
